| Description | The OpenBCM-Mailbox is an amateur radio Bulletin Board System with AX.25 store and forward capabilities. OpenBCM was formerly known as BayCom-Mailbox (BCM). Supports Linux, Windows NT/2000/XP and DOS. Documentation in German. Linux: OpenBCM can use own Layer2 KISS-Mode to communicate with a TNC or use a pseudo TTY. OpenBCM can also listen on a netcmd socket, axip over UDP and also AX25-Kernel is supported. The BBS offers a lot of TCPIP (HTTP, Telnet, POP3, SMTP, NNTP, FTP) services. Included is a terminal program called bct, which is used to communicate with the mailbox. Windows: OpenBCM can be used via AX.25 (Layer2 KISS-Mode) and/or TCPIP (HTTP, Telnet, POP3, SMTP, NNTP, FTP). A terminal program like Paxon (www.paxon.de) and Flex/32 is recommended. DOS: OpenBCM can be used in combination with PC/Flexnet. Build in user interface. |
